Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Craig David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Unski Hallavaara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David comes to the cage accompanied by The Who - Baba O'Riley. Hallavaara has chosen Jay-z & Kanye West - Niggas In Paris [Official Video] - Watch The Throne as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Craig David!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Unski Hallavaara!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hallavaara drives through and clinches with David against the cage.
David wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hallavaara has him pressed against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on David's face as he tries to break the clinch.
A left hand lands to the body for Hallavaara.

David breaks the clinch.
David tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
David thows a body shot but no joy.
Hallavaara doesn't manage to clinch there - David circles away.
Hallavaara blocks a head kick by David.
Hallavaara tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but David paws at him with a jab and circles away.
David looks to throw the jab but Hallavaara is out of range.

David throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Hallavaara checks a leg kick.
Hallavaara chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before David can pounce on him.
David tries to score with a low kick but Hallavaara moves his leg out of the way.
David throws a head kick that misses.
David moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
David goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Hallavaara lands a slapping body shot.
David is breathing heavily.
Hallavaara tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Hallavaara misses with a body kick.

Hallavaara slips under a jab.
Craig David seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
David throws a lazy right hand but Hallavaara sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hallavaara checks a low kick from David.
David misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hallavaara tries to close the distance and clinch but David swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
David closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hallavaara circles away.
David lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Hallavaara tries to clinch up but David circles away and keeps his distance.
Hallavaara stuffs the takedown.
Sloppy strikes from Hallavaara. Those never looked like landing.

David motions for Hallavaara to come forward. David throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Hallavaara moves out of range of the body kick.
David scores with a jab. Hallavaara acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Hallavaara throws a sloppy head kick and David moves out of range easily.
Hallavaara takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
David misses with a straight right.
David misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Hallavaara closes the distance and clinches.
Hallavaara softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Hallavaara lands a right hand.

Hallavaara lands a left hand.
David tries to break the clinch but Hallavaara is controlling the position.
Hallavaara misses with a knee to the head.
Hallavaara can't find room to land a body shot as David controls the action.

David tries to circle away but Hallavaara has him pinned against the cage.
David wants to get back to striking at distance but Hallavaara won't allow it.
Hallavaara lands a hook that snaps the head of David backwards.
Hallavaara lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of David backwards.
David is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hallavaara lands with a right to the head.

David wants to get back to striking at distance but Hallavaara won't allow it.
Hallavaara lands a hook to the side of the head.
David tries to circle away but Hallavaara has him pinned against the cage.

A close round but Unski Hallavaara will probably get the nod.

David takes a swing at Hallavaara's ribcage but misses.
Hallavaara walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
David pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hallavaara fails with an attempt to clinch.
David clobbers Hallavaara with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Hallavaara rushes David and presses him up against the cage.

David's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hallavaara wants to clinch up but David keeps it at a distance.
Hallavaara tries to close the distance and clinch up but David swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Unski Hallavaara is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A bone on bone clash there as Hallavaara blocks the leg kick.
Hallavaara throws a head kick that David semi-blocks.
Unski Hallavaara seems to be getting the better of the standup.

David tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
David motions for Hallavaara to come forward. David throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
David tries to close the distance and clinch but Hallavaara swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Hallavaara is looking to clinch but David is avoiding it.

David shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Hallavaara pulls David in close to his closed guard and prevents David from doing any damage or advancing position.
Hallavaara tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Hallavaara has his foot on David's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. David works his way back into a safe position though.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hallavaara is on top in guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hallavaara escapes and gets back to his feet.

and Hallavaara counters with a nice right hand that sends David toppling to the canvas! David scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Hallavaara finish him?!


David is rocked!


It looks like Craig David has been cut.

Hallavaara moves into the clinch.
Oh David is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
David blocking some punches.
Hallavaara swings wildly with an uppercut but David uses good head movement to avoid it.
Hallavaara misses with a punch on the inside.
Hallavaara misses with a hook from the clinch.
David blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Hallavaara misses with the head strike.
David blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Hallavaara doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Hallavaara swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Hallavaara keeps the fight in the clinch, despite David's efforts to push away.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

David tries to circle away but Hallavaara has him pinned against the cage.

Unski Hallavaara showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Craig David's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



David gets tackled into the cage by Hallavaara. Hallavaara maintains the clinch.
David blocks an uppercut.
Hallavaara pushes David against the cage. Hallavaara is working some dirty boxing. Hallavaara pushes off with a quick right hook! David goes down! David tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Hallavaara moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:14 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Unski Hallavaara!
Post fight, an emotional Unski Hallavaara said 'And the new LH champ of the world. Now I must train hard to keep this belt around my waist. Thanks to my trainer who picked me up and gave me hope. Welcome to the new era of Hallavaara.'.
