Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Andre Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elyas Pical (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pical comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Florida feat Nelly Furtado- Jump kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Elyas Pical has the better chin. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pical's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Santos trying to control but Pical is working from the bottom.
Santos advances to half guard.
Santos throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Santos seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pical does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Santos passes to side control.
An elbow from Santos crashes against the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pical managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Santos.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pical can do anything to dispel that myth.

Santos in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Santos throws an elbow but Pical slips to the side and avoids it well.
Santos tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Santos is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Pical is trying to escape and Santos transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Pical is forced to tap! Nice work there by Santos! Very nice indeed!
