Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 13 - 1, fighting out of London, Eugene Bradley Burns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny LaRusso!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Bruno Lombardi and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LaRusso just misses with a punch to the body.
LaRusso connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Burns shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches LaRusso napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Burns scores with punches from side control.
Burns tries to move into full mount but can't pass LaRusso's legs.
Burns throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Burns misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Burns creates some space and throws a big elbow, but LaRusso sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Burns tries to advance position but instead LaRusso slips a leg back in to half guard.

Burns is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Burns has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
LaRusso is trying to control but can't.

Burns lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
LaRusso is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
LaRusso wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Burns.
Burns throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Johnny LaRusso seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Burns fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. LaRusso looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
LaRusso misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
LaRusso takes one on the button.

Burns throws a hook but LaRusso avoids it easily.
LaRusso feints and then cracks Burns's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Burns down.
A combination from Burns does no damage.
LaRusso fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Burns checks it well.
LaRusso thumps Burns with a low kick.

Burns closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Eugene Bradley Burns overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Burns tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
LaRusso wants to control but Burns postures up.
LaRusso isn't going anywhere.

Burns wants to lay and pray for a moment but LaRusso keeps working.
Burns tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

LaRusso parries the strikes from Burns easily there. Burns is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable LaRusso to escape.
You can see the frustration on LaRusso's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That was a close second round but I would say that Eugene Bradley Burns will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

I would just about give that final round to Johnny LaRusso.
