Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Vishis Vourture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and MJ Watson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vourture comes to the cage accompanied by Encore. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vourture fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Watson shoots in and bounces Vourture off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Watson wants to stand but Vourture has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Watson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Watson swats away the attempt to clinch by Vourture.
Vourture is looking to clinch.
Vourture dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Watson. That did some damage!
Watson has taken the fight to the clinch.
Vourture digs a right hand into Watson's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Watson's gas tank.

Watson works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Watson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Vourture is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Watson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Vourture's back instead.

Watson lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Watson.
Watson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Vourture manages to reverse the position and now he's in Watson's guard. Nice work there by Vourture.
Watson controls Vourture momentarily but Vourture frees himself.

Vourture throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Watson escapes and throws Vourture's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Watson connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Vourture some visible discomfort.

Watson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Watson feints and as Vourture raises his hands in defense, Watson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

MJ Watson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
