PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anti Satosari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xander Lagos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Satosari might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Primo Victoria. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Anti Satosari!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Xander Lagos!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Radbod Blank and Paul Aken.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lagos shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Satosari as he avoids it easily.
Satosari tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Lagos manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A solid leg kick lands there for Satosari.
Lagos fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Satosari keeps Lagos at a distance using the push kick.
Lagos falls off balance throwing a combination
and Satosari counters with a nice body kick.
Satosari throws a sloppy head kick and Lagos moves out of range easily.
Lagos swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nice takedown defense from Satosari. No joy for Lagos on that attempt.
Lagos looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Satosari is fending him off so far but Lagos persists. Nope, Satosari circles away and we're back to standing.
Anti Satosari has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xander Lagos.

Lagos shoots in looking for a takedown. Satosari tries to sprawl out of it but Lagos keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Satosari manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Lagos throws an off balance right hand
and Satosari counters with a nice leg kick.
Lagos throws a right and a left that both miss.
No joy there for Lagos, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lagos throws a series of strikes that have Satosari backpedaling.
A combination from Lagos does no damage.
Lagos throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Satosari's waist but Satosari gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lagos off to one side.
Satosari pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Satosari doesn't manage to clinch there - Lagos circles away.
Satosari lands a nice leg kick that just misses Lagos's sensitive parts.
Lagos looks gassed!
Satosari tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Satosari cracks Lagos with a right hand to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Satosari counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Crunch! Satosari slams his shin into Lagos's torso.

Lagos drives through with a takedown into Satosari's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Satosari pulls Lagos in close to prevent any damage.
Lagos is stalling in the full guard.
Satosari has Lagos pulled in close to control his posture.
Satosari utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's time! Satosari's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Lagos tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Satosari pushes Lagos away with a front kick.

Satosari lands a leg kick that knocks Lagos off balance momentarily.
Lagos takes one on the chin but seems OK.

It looks like Xander Lagos has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Satosari is looking to slow Lagos down with leg kicks.
Lagos is breathing heavily.

Satosari lands a big head kick that sends Lagos tumbling to the mat! Satosari takes a step backwards and waves Lagos back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Lagos is rocked!
Crack! Satosari connects with the perfect overhand right and Lagos falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Satosari!
