PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Danny Mera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Hosnia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mera comes into the arena with The Automatic - Monster blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Fedor Mirinova and Igor Prikhodko.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mera misses with a hook.
Mera looks to land a right hand but Hosnia moved out of range.
Hosnia keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hosnia moves away from the strike by Mera.
Mera swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mera rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Hosnia counters with a low kick, right behind Mera 's knee.
Hosnia slips under a jab from Mera.
Hosnia gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Mera is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hosnia's half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Mera not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Hosnia wants to improve his position but Mera is controlling well.
Hosnia gets back to full guard.
Hosnia has a closed guard, preventing Mera from standing up.

Hosnia not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Hosnia escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mera gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hosnia had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mera defends it easily.

Mera postures up in Hosnia's guard and throws a big left but Hosnia blocks it.

Hosnia is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Mera frees his head nicely. Oh but Hosnia has switched to an armbar! Mera is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
