Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Travis Faure (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wally Wechsel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wechsel comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Faith No More - The Morning After kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Travis Faure! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wally Wechsel! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wechsel displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Faure. Wechsel tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Faure fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Faure throws a good cross that connects.
Faure ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wechsel moves away. Faure on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Faure thows a left - swing and a miss! Wechsel lets loose with a powerful body kick. Faure will feel that in the morning. Faure misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Wechsel scores with a kick to the body.
Wechsel misses with a head kick.
Faure misses with a straight right. Faure shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wechsel but Wechsel pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Travis Faure. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wechsel tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Faure tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Wechsel tries to clinch but Faure moves out of range. Wechsel misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wechsel pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Wechsel throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Faure misses with a body shot.
Wechsel pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Wechsel misses with a head kick.
Wechsel throws a nice inside leg kick. Faure fails with a takedown attempt. Wally Wechsel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Wechsel throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Faure scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Wechsel tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Faure paws at him with a jab and circles away. No luck with that takedown attempt from Faure. Wechsel delivers a nice body kick. Wechsel throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Wechsel tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Faure was well out of range. Poor timing from Wechsel.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wechsel thows a left - swing and a miss! Wechsel throws a head kick but Faure moves out of range.
Faure throws the left hand but Wechsel avoids the punch easily. Wechsel gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Wechsel gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Faure.
A short right from Wechsel on the inside. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Wechsel throws a punch but it's blocked by Faure. Faure blocks an uppercut.
Faure is trying to drag Wechsel to the mat but Wechsel just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there. Wechsel lands an elbow that stopped Faure in his tracks for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wechsel lands with a short punch from the clinch.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Wechsel. Wechsel prevents a takedown attempt there.

Wally Wechsel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wechsel tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Faure throws a shot from downtown. Wechsel moves away and avoids it. Wechsel throws a nice head kick!
Wechsel is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Faure looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Wechsel pushes Faure off looking to stand but Faure dives back in and keeps control.
Wechsel is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Faure is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Wechsel defends it well. Faure is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Wechsel sees it coming and defends easily. Faure is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wechsel is defending against the submission attempts here by Faure.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wechsel can do anything to dispel that myth. Faure is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wally Wechsel dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Wechsel throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Faure shoots in for a takedown but Wechsel shows good takedown defense. Faure dives in and grabs Wechsel's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wechsel pushes down on Faure's head and hops out. Wechsel lands a jab to the nose. Wechsel lands with a thumping leg kick.
Faure dips to his left and cracks Wechsel with an uppercut! Wechsel lands with an overhand left. Wechsel chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Faure jabbing away but nothing is landing. Wechsel feints and then cracks Faure's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Faure down. Wechsel throws a quick inside leg kick. Faure will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Travis Faure. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wechsel takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Faure has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Wechsel. Faure goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Wechsel throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Faure throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Wechsel throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Wechsel lands a nice shot that snaps Faure's head back.
A slow jab from Faure misses its intended target. Wechsel throws a big shot that misses. Wechsel fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Faure has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. A head kick from Wechsel lands but Faure takes it in his stride. Wechsel is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Wechsel lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Faure swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Wechsel lands a head kick!
Faure misses the jab. Wechsel throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Faure's head. Faure is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Wechsel lands a nice leg kick that just misses Faure's sensitive parts.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Faure pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Faure throws out a loose jab but Wechsel uses good head movement to avoid it. Wechsel drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Wechsel blocks a jab. Faure will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. The fight moves into the clinch position. Wechsel pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Wechsel stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wechsel wants it to stay on the feet. Wechsel tries a head kick but it misses.
Faure shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Wechsel is trying to defend but Faure finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Wechsel is trying to stand back up but Faure is controlling him
Faure looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wechsel is trying to stand.
Faure is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wechsel is just riding it out for now. Faure eventually gives up the hold. Wechsel looks like he's trying to stand up.
Faure in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Wechsel tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Faure!
