Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rad Colt!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferrier misses with a few strikes there.
Ferrier shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Colt pinned against the cage. Colt gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Ferrier is breathing heavily.
Ferrier has his takedown stuffed

and Colt counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Colt is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Colt thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Colt pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ferrier is keeping the position for now.
Colt cracks Ferrier with a solid left hand.

Colt is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Colt throws a big elbow that misses.
Colt wants to stand but Ferrier has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Colt throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Colt stands up from Ferrier's guard - Colt perhaps looking for a knockout.

Colt scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Colt is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Ferrier sees it coming and defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Colt controlling the action here.
Colt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ferrier. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Rad Colt wasn't active enough on the ground.

Colt looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Colt is looking to work some ground and pound but Ferrier has wrist control.

Colt decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Colt wants to clinch.
Colt tries to clinch but Ferrier is having none of it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Colt throws a sloppy head kick and Ferrier moves out of range easily.
Colt fails with an attempt to clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rad Colt dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Colt shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Colt was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Colt postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Ferrier looks a forlorn figure.

Colt working for a submission but Ferrier is keeping him at bay.

Colt takes Ferrier's back.

Colt is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Ferrier has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Colt looking to break Ferrier's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Ferrier remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Colt will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Colt is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Ferrier. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.

Rad Colt showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Colt looking to score a takedown here. Ferrier is defending well but Colt drives through and ends up in Ferrier's guard.

Colt has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Colt must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Rad Colt was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Colt fails to land with a series of punches.
Ferrier tries to clinch but Colt is having none of it.
Colt tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ferrier manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ferrier is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Colt moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rad Colt!
