Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Stephen Hawking (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Rock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Sergei Dronov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rock shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hawking as he avoids it easily.
Hawking fails with the takedown
and Rock counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hawking won't be happy with that.
Hawking tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Check out the look on Rock's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
You can see the frustration on Hawking's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Hawking avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Rock.

Rock tries to pull guard but Hawking holds him up against the cage and eventually Rock drops back down to his feet.
Hawking breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Rock shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hawking's guard.
Hawking wants to get back to his feet but Rock is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Rock throws and elbow that misses. Hawking uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rock's guard. Nice move by Hawking!
Hawking has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Rock is proving hard to escape from.

Rock manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hawking manages to get himself to full guard.
Hawking is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Rock has managed to clinch.
Rock wants a takedown but no success here.
Hawking is trying to break the clinch but Rock has him pressed against the cage.
Rock is trying to trip Hawking. He has hold of a leg but Hawking is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Rock persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Hawking has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Jay Rock showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Rock lands a nice short elbow.

I've got Rock winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
