Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tom Maury (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Randels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Randels closes the distance and pushes Maury back into the cage.
Maury has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Randels avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Maury is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Randels keeps control of Maury as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Randels lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Tom Maury has been cut.
Maury wants to break free but Randels has control.
Maury is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Randels pulls him back up using the underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tom Maury. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Randels successfully pulls guard.
Maury drops back looking for a leg! Randels is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Randels manages to kick Maury off! Maury jumps back into Randels's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Maury thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Randels wants to stand and escape but Maury is having none of it.
Maury passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Maury looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Maury will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Randels pushes Maury away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Maury gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Randels tries to strike but it doesn't land.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Randels is trying to control Maury's posture but Maury avoids it.
Randels tries to improve position but can't.
Randels is trying to get back to his feet.
Maury has an Americana. Randels didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Maury is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Maury hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Tom Maury!
