Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Waitzel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kerry Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Waitzel comes to the cage accompanied by Dimmu Borgir - Puritania. Ward has chosen People are strange by The Doors as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane Waitzel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kerry Ward! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Waitzel scores with a hook to the body. Ward takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Ward avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Waitzel defending well as Ward loads up on a big left hand. A jab lands there for Waitzel. Waitzel rushes Ward and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Waitzel lands a nice shot to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A right handed body shot lands from Waitzel.
Ward wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Ward working hard to break the clinch. Ward has picked Waitzel up - he's going for a ride! Ward dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Waitzel is looking to escape. Ward missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Waitzel is trying to get back to full guard. Ward trying to pass the guard but Waitzel defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Waitzel is pressing down on Ward's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Ward won't allow Waitzel to get back to his feet. Ward lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Waitzel wants to sweep here but Ward controlling him for the moment. Waitzel is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Waitzel scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Ward misses with a looping right. Waitzel throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Good exchange - Ward coming out on top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ward misses with an uppercut. Ward shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Waitzel closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. This has been an exciting period of action! Ward wants to get back to striking at distance but Waitzel won't allow it.
Waitzel tries a body shot but Ward blocks it.
Ward wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Waitzel has him pressed against the cage. Waitzel lands a left hand that snaps the head of Ward backwards. Waitzel keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Ward's efforts to push away. Waitzel scores with a shot to the side of Ward's head. Ward's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Waitzel just misses with a punch to the body.

Waitzel clobbers Ward with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
It looks like Kerry Ward has been cut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ward walks into a straight right hand from Waitzel. Waitzel digs a good body shot into Ward's ribs. Waitzel cracks Ward with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Waitzel has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Ward to stand back up! Ward looks gassed! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Waitzel plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Ward to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Ward just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!
