Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fitzpatrick blocks a leg kick.
Fitzpatrick connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Ankka momentarily.
Fitzpatrick fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ankka sprawls well initially but Fitzpatrick persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Ankka has a hand on Fitzpatrick's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Fitzpatrick takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Fitzpatrick sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Ankka tries to lock up and control but Fitzpatrick gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Fitzpatrick prevents Ankka from getting the reversal.
Fitzpatrick is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Ankka can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
This has been an exciting period of action!
