Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sangwo Kujiwara!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Fujiwara and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kujiwara is defended easily by Ryu.
Sangwo Kujiwara seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kujiwara doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Ryu counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kujiwara won't be happy with that.
Kujiwara is looking for a sweep.
Kujiwara is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Ryu stands up.
Kujiwara gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ryu to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Kujiwara has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ryu can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Kujiwara looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Kujiwara looking for a triangle here. Ryu is fighting it but it looks tight! Kujiwara pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Ryu is tapping out - this one is all over!
