Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Knox Lyndon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JAmes Bong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Knox Lyndon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, JAmes Bong!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bong shoots for a takedown but Lyndon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Lyndon pushes Bong away with a front kick.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bong.

Lyndon closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bong did well to prevent Lyndon getting side control.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Bong keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Bong is not content to let Lyndon control the position.
Lyndon is stalling here. Bong is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Lyndon seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Bong has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bong trying to control the action but Lyndon is working from the bottom.
Bong is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Lyndon tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Bong presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Bong thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Bong looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Lyndon tries to hold on but Bong postures up.

Bong jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Lyndon manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Lyndon seems a little lost for a moment, as Bong dominates the positioning.
Lyndon is trying to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Bong decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Lyndon gets a takedown into half guard.
Lyndon is breathing heavily.
Bong wants to control but Lyndon is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Lyndon wants to stand up but Bong manages to regain full guard.
Bong looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Lyndon trying to control but Bong is working from the bottom.
Bong is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Bong takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Bong thows a huge punch but Lyndon dodges it nicely.
Bong passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Lyndon!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lyndon holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Bong tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but JAmes Bong will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Lyndon avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lyndon.
Lyndon throws a nice inside leg kick.

Bong has taken the fight to the clinch.

Bong pulls guard effortlessly.
Bong manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lyndon manages to get himself to full guard.
Bong trying to control but Lyndon is working from the bottom.
Lyndon can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bong controls the pace.

Lyndon is looking to stand back up but Bong counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Lyndon.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Bong wants to control but Lyndon is keeping him busy.
Bong slows the pace down in half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

JAmes Bong has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Bong misses with a takedown attempt
and Lyndon counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Bong moves out of range of the leg kick from Lyndon.
Bong is looking to clinch but Lyndon is avoiding it.
Bong has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Lyndon.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Lyndon fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Bong to the ground. Lyndon is now in Bong's guard.
Bong pulls Lyndon in close to prevent any damage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bong looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
JAmes Bong has got the better of the ground game so far.
Bong pulls Lyndon in close to his closed guard and prevents Lyndon from doing any damage or advancing position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. JAmes Bong was stalling too much, according to the referee.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Bong.
Bong misses the shot to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Lyndon tries to keep at a distance but Bong has taken the fight into the clinch.
Lyndon tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Lyndon looking for a takedown.

Bong manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Bong is adopting a defensive guard.
Bong utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bong is on top in guard.
Bong showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

Lyndon trying to control the position.
Bong sitting in guard here, content to control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Knox Lyndon wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Bong tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lyndon paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Lyndon stuffs the takedown attempt from Bong. Bong gets slowly back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

JAmes Bong showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Lyndon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Bong tries to clinch but Lyndon moves out of range.

Bong gets tackled into the cage by Lyndon. Lyndon maintains the clinch.

Lyndon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Bong wants to clinch up but Lyndon keeps it at a distance.
Bong rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lyndon moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Lyndon pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Lyndon has closed the distance and engaged Bong in a clinch.

Bong jumps guard.
Bong working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lyndon.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lyndon wants to pass the guard but Bong is keeping the position.
Bong keeping moving, preventing Lyndon from controlling successfully.

Bong kicks Lyndon off and gets to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Bong shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Bong gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Lyndon fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bong shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lyndon defends it nicely.
Lyndon lands a nice leg kick that just misses Bong's sensitive parts.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bong shoots in but no luck this time.
Nice uppercut lands for Bong. That snapped Lyndon's head back.

Lyndon closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bong did well to prevent Lyndon getting side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bong throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Bong is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lyndon's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lyndon's back!
Bong punches the canvas rather than the man.
Bong misses with a punch to the head.

Bong working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Lyndon is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Bong has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Lyndon taps out!
