Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pelmen Mochotin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chad Anderson! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anderson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Anderson instigates a clinch. Anderson avoiding damage.
Knees in the clinch landing for Anderson.
Anderson is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Mochotin can't fight it off and eventually Anderson manages to take the fight to the floor. Mochotin looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Mochotin wants to sweep here but Anderson controlling him for the moment. Anderson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Mochotin dives on top into guard. Anderson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson is trying to control the position but Mochotin postures up. Mochotin throwing strikes from guard but Anderson blocks nicely. Anderson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Anderson has momentary wrist control but Mochotin slips an elbow through the middle. Anderson can't keep his opponent in guard - Mochotin advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Mochotin is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Mochotin looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Mochotin trying to control from half guard but Anderson is working away. Mochotin is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Anderson is looking to improve his position.
Anderson looks gassed! Anderson is defending against the submission attempts here by Mochotin.
Mochotin trying to control the pace. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Mochotin connects with a nice short shot to Anderson's temple. Mochotin lands with a punch from half guard.
It looks like Chad Anderson has been cut. Mochotin content to control rather than advance. Anderson has hold of Mochotin's hands but Mochotin slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mochotin is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Anderson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mochotin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Mochotin breaks from Anderson's wrist control and lands an elbow.
That has opened up Chad Anderson's cut even more. Mochotin controlling the position easily from mount. Mochotin lands a big elbow - Anderson is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Anderson is forced to tap out!
