Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joel Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bart Olome (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Olome gets tackled into the cage by Cruz. Cruz maintains the clinch.

Cruz breaks from the clinch.

Olome rushes Cruz and presses him up against the cage.

Olome breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Olome clobbers Cruz with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Olome rushes Cruz and presses him up against the cage.

Olome breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Olome clinches up with Cruz and pushes him back against the cage.

Olome manages to pull guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cruz drops back looking for a leg! Olome is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Olome manages to kick Cruz off! Cruz jumps back into Olome's guard.
Olome is wriggling around but Cruz manages to pass to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Olome wants to get back to his feet.

Olome is kicking away at Cruz from the bottom - trying to push off and stand up. Cruz grabs hold of a leg and drops back for a hell hook! The two fighters roll across the mat, with Olome trying to push Cruz off... Olome taps! He's tapped! This one is all over! A throwback to the old Pancrase there with an infrequently seen submission hold! Nice work.
