Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Luke Breja! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tommy Tapout! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Wagner Zegers and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Breja misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Tapout.
Tapout tries to clinch up but Breja circles away and keeps his distance. Breja fails with an attempt to clinch.
Tapout avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Breja tries to clinch up. Breja lands with a shot to the body. Breja throws a series of punches but Tapout avoids them all with ease. Tapout tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Breja manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Breja shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Tapout eats them both and turns towards Breja to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
It looks like Tommy Tapout has been cut. Breja lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Tapout tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Tapout throws a sloppy head kick and Breja moves out of range easily. Tapout takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
This has been an exciting period of action! Breja doesn't manage to clinch there - Tapout circles away.

That's one minute gone in the round. Tapout gets a takedown into half guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Tapout not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Tapout sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Breja defending well though. Tapout is looking to advance position but Breja won't allow it. Tapout is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Tapout seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Breja is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Tommy Tapout! Tommy Tapout was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
