Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mitchael Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Monohan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jake Monohan will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mitchael Young! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jake Monohan! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Paul Tew and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck with that takedown attempt from Young. Monohan shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Young defends it nicely. Young shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Monohan pinned against the cage. Monohan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Monohan shoots for a double leg takedown but Young sprawls well. He's pushed Monohan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Young shoots in and drives through. Monohan sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mitchael Young. That's going to take a lot out of him. Monohan throws a right and a left that Young avoids nicely. Monohan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Monohan leaves Young with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Monohan has closed the distance and engaged Young in a clinch.

Monohan ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Monohan no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Young throwing strikes but missing. Young really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Young has a takedown stuffed. Young fails with a takedown attempt. Monohan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Young drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Young creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Young lands some shots froms side control. Young looks up at the clock and then as Monohan takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Young smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Young cracks Monohan with an elbow. That is naaassty. Young in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Monohan looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Young turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mitchael Young! A relieved looking Mitchael Young thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
