Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Juan Ponce Enrile! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Jimenez! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jimenez lands a nice shot to the body.
Enrile with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Jimenez to score with a decent uppercut. Jimenez throws a looping overhand right but Enrile ducks down to avoid it. Enrile doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Jimenez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Enrile misses with a two punch combination.
Enrile ducks under a wild hook from Jimenez. No joy there for Enrile, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Enrile throws a left and a right that both miss
and Jimenez makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Enrile throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Jimenez counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. The fighters circling - Jimenez throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Enrile rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jimenez moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Enrile will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jimenez jabbing away but nothing is landing. Jimenez throws a right hand that misses
and Enrile counters with a series of strikes. Jimenez will be more careful next time no doubt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Enrile falls off balance throwing a combination
and Jimenez counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Enrile is breathing heavily. Jimenez misses with a jab, cross combination.

Enrile is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Enrile misses with a double jab
and Jimenez counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Enrile off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Jimenez follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Enrile was out before he hit the floor.
