Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Leandro Rodrigues and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pereira shoots for a double leg takedown but Oliveira sprawls well. He's pushed Pereira's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Oliveira shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Oliveira throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Pereira to regain full guard.
Oliveira is looking to work some ground and pound but Pereira has wrist control.
Oliveira wants to pass the guard but Pereira is keeping the position.

Oliveira drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Pereira manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Oliveira has Pereira in his guard.

Oliveira throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pereira's waist but Pereira gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Oliveira off to one side.

The referee asks Pereira politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Pereira prefers to stall for the moment though.

A close round but Hugo Oliveira will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Oliveira shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pereira as he avoids it easily.
Hugo Oliveira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Oliveira lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pereira circles away quickly and effectively.
Pereira shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Oliveira's guard.

Well, if Pereira is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

He's locked it up tight! Oliveira's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Pereira picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
