Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bastian Rolfes!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Jorge Garcia and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rolfes shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Drysdale napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Drysdale manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Rolfes is trying to control the action in half guard but Drysdale is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Rolfes is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Rolfes is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Drysdale defends it well.
Rolfes is trying to control the action in half guard but Drysdale is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Drysdale makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Drysdale.
Rolfes is looking to advance position but Drysdale has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Rolfes sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Drysdale looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Rolfes tries to roll over but Drysdale keeps him under control.

Rolfes is trying to control but Drysdale manages to pass to mount!
Rolfes wants to control but Drysdale is having none of it.
Rolfes keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Drysdale working for a guillotine from mount but Rolfes is in no mood to give up.
Rolfes defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Drysdale.
Drysdale can't control as he wanted to and Rolfes manages to get the fight back to his half guard.
Drysdale is working for an americana but Rolfes has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Drysdale was thinking about the submission.

Drysdale forces his way into half guard.
Rolfes is trying is best to control the position here.
Drysdale is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rolfes defends it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Rolfes is doing well to control the position and prevent Drysdale from advancing to side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bastian Rolfes dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Drysdale gets caught flat footed, as Rolfes shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Drysdale looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Rolfes wants to pass the guard but Drysdale is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rolfes trying to control the position from guard on top but Drysdale is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rolfesis looking to pass into half guard but Drysdale pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Drysdale is in guard.
Rolfes wants to sweep here but Drysdale controlling him for the moment.
Drysdale stands and throws Rolfes's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Drysdale tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Drysdale is trying to get an arm triangle but Rolfes is defending well.

Rolfes tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Drysdale has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Rolfes is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Drysdale yanks on the arm and Rolfes is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Drysdale.

After the fight, Robert Drysdale was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
