Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Trond Groven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arturas Uscinas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Trond Groven! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Arturas Uscinas! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Uscinas shoots in looking for a takedown but Groven manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Uscinas's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Groven closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Groven lands in his opponent's guard. Uscinas keeping full guard, as Groven tries to pass. Uscinas wants to sweep here but Groven controlling him for the moment. Uscinas is trying to control the position but Groven postures up. Groven advances to half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Groven in particular looking to stall. Uscinas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Groven. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Groven's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Groven passes to side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Groven is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Uscinas has escaped the position, nice work there. Groven controls the position. Uscinas is looking for a sweep. Groven staying calm.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Uscinas tries to improve position but can't. Uscinas struggling a bit here. Groven stands up. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Groven. An inside leg kick lands from Uscinas. Groven shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Uscinas manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Uscinas had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Groven defends it easily. Groven decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Uscinas looks gassed! Groven pushes Uscinas up against the cage in a clinch. Groven's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Groven fails with a takedown attempt. Uscinas looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Uscinas tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Groven closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Uscinas to the mat! Uscinas manages to get full guard. Groven controlling from the top position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Groven works a leg free and moves into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Trond Groven dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Uscinas doesn't succeed with the takedown and Groven counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Groven decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Uscinas is looking to clinch but Groven is avoiding it.
Uscinas throws a sloppy head kick and Groven moves out of range easily. Uscinas throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Groven's waist but Groven gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Uscinas off to one side. Uscinas is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Uscinas misses with a takedown attempt - Groven sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Trond Groven has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arturas Uscinas. Uscinas doesn't succeed with the takedown and Groven decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Uscinas's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Groven passes into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Uscinas is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Groven passes the guard and advances to mount! Groven is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Uscinas can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Groven lands with some strikes. Groven in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Groven controlling from the full mount. Groven is landing with some decent strikes but Uscinas is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Groven controlling from mount. Uscinas wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Uscinas is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Trond Groven overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Groven has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Groven is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Uscinas can do to turn this around? We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Groven landing with strikes. Groven is looking for the choke from the back position but Uscinas is controlling his hands well. Uscinas is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Groven.
Groven lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Uscinas.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Groven controls the position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Groven is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Uscinas defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Trond Groven dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Uscinas looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Groven closes the distance and clinches. Groven misses with a body punch.
Uscinas is trying to break the clinch but Groven has him pressed against the cage. Groven's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Excellent takedown into side control there by Groven. Groven tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Uscinas tries to bench press Groven off him but Groven keeps the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Groven controls the position from side control. Uscinas is looking to reverse the position. Uscinas takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Groven working the body and head with strikes. Groven controls the position. Groven scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Uscinas to see if he's OK.
It looks like Arturas Uscinas has been cut. Groven looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Groven scores with a couple of short elbows.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Groven just content to control the position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Uscinas tries to control but Groven manages to take his back. Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Groven.
What can Uscinas do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Uscinas is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Groven gets his hands free as Uscinas looks to control. Groven is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Uscinas knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Uscinas for a finish. Groven looking to break Uscinas's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Uscinas remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Groven will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! A bit of a pause in the action here. Groven controlling the positon. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that's the end of the fight! Trond Groven showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Groven, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
