Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Steve Andrews! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Reino Keino! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Daniel Cesar and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Keino moves in looking to clinch but Andrews pushes him off. Andrews on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Keino. Keino obviously looking to wear him down.
Keino fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Keino keeps the fight on the outside. Keino tries to clinch but fails miserably and Andrews counters by moving into the clinch. Keino on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

A low kick from Keino misses and Andrews counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Andrews throws a leg kick but Keino sees it coming and moves out of range. Keino showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Andrews.

That's one minute gone in the round. Andrews misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Keino.
Keino wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Andrews has him pressed against the cage. Keino tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Andrews lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Andrews takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Keino is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Andrews pulls him back up using the underhooks. Steve Andrews has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Reino Keino. Andrews breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Andrews clinches up with Keino and pushes him back against the cage. Andrews breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Andrews wants to clinch up but Keino keeps it at a distance. Keino blocks a jab. Andrews closes the distance looking to clinch and Keino counters with a low kick, right behind Andrews 's knee. Andrews wants to clinch up but Keino keeps it at a distance. The fight stays on the outside here - Andrews looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Andrews attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Andrews forces Keino back against the cage and clinches. Keino wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. The is referee keeping an eye on Andrews - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Andrews throws a front kick aimed at Keino's knee but Keino avoids it well. Andrews throws a sloppy head kick and Keino counters with a nice double leg into side control. Andrews won't be happy with that. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Keino trying to control the action but Andrews is working from the bottom. Andrews struggling a bit here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Andrews dodges the ground and pound from Keino. Keino wants to control but Andrews is keeping him busy. Keino decides to take the fight back to the feet. Keino closes the distance and clinches. Keino wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Andrews has him pressed against the cage. Andrews scores a nice knee to the body.

Keino darts in and clinches Andrews up against the cage. Keino breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Keino scores with a crisp jab that stopped Andrews in his tracks. Andrews darts in trying to clinch and Keino counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Keino moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Andrews tries to clinch but Keino moves away and Keino counters with a shoot takedown. Andrews fights it but they end up in guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Steve Andrews will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Andrews takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Andrews fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Keino. Andrews connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Keino! He's out on his feet! Andrews rushes in and drops Keino with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Steve Andrews!
