Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mario Vine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Daemon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mario Vine! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, John Daemon! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vine shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Vine dives in and grabs Daemon's left leg, looking for a takedown. Daemon pushes down on Vine's head and hops out. Vine shoots in for a takedown but Daemon shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mario Vine. That's going to take a lot out of him. Vine tries to bum rush Daemon with a series of wild strikes but Daemon uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Vine swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Vine fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Daemon sprawls well initially but Vine persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Daemon is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Daemon wants to control but Vine is keeping busy and won't allow it. Daemon slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Daemon throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Daemon is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Daemon has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Daemon wants to sweep here but Vine controlling him for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Daemon keeping moving, preventing Vine from controlling successfully. Vine has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Mario Vine just wasn't active enough. Daemon shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Vine throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Vine shoots in but Daemon avoids the takedown attempt easily. Vine tries to score a power double leg takedown but Daemon sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Vine somewhat. Daemon leaves Vine with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Vine is breathing heavily. Daemon will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Vine tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Daemon swivels and escapes.

Vine is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Daemon manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Daemon wants to stand but Vine is controlling the position. Daemon trying to control the position.
Vine lands a couple of decent looking shots. Daemon wants to sweep here but Vine controlling him for the moment. Daemon working for a triangle but Vine defends it easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Vine wants to stand but Daemon is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vine sitting in guard, not really doing much. Vine seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Daemon for as long as he can get away with. Daemon looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Daemon looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vine controlling from the top position.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Mario Vine just wasn't active enough. Vine shoots in looking for a takedown. Daemon tries to sprawl out of it but Vine keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Daemon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Vine fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Daemon avoids it really well and circles away. Vine circles away from the clinch attempt.
Vine misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Vine closes this distance looking for a takedown but Daemon circles away. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sloppy strikes from Daemon. Those never looked like landing. No luck for Daemon with that takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Mario Vine will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Vine throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Daemon. Daemon tries to score a power double leg takedown but Vine sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Daemon somewhat. Mario Vine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Daemon. Vine is trying hard to land a takedown here. Daemon sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Daemon doesn't manage to clinch there - Vine circles away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Vine throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. John Daemon wasn't active enough on the ground. Vine fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Daemon looks to land a body kick but Vine moved away. Vine feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Vine looking to sit in guard and control but Daemon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Daemon won't allow Vine to get back to his feet. Vine on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Vine tries to get out of the position. Daemon is fighting to break Vine's control of his arms but Vine is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Vine working a defensive guard here.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Daemon tries to free his leg and advance position but Vine is retaining full guard.

Mario Vine is winning the standup battle so far. Vine shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Daemon but Daemon pushes him off and we're back to square one. Vine shoots for a takedown but Daemon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mario Vine. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Vine misses with a jab, cross combination.

Daemon is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Vine is defending well though. Daemon let's go of the attempt for now. Vine is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Daemon.

Daemon looking to finish the fight with a rear naked choke. Vine is controlling Daemon 's left arm and he spins nicely into guard. Vine trying to control but Daemon is working from the bottom. Daemon working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Vine.

We're going to have a standup here because Mario Vine wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Vine shoots in and drives through. Daemon sprawls well. Vine tries to close the distance and clinch but Daemon swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. No luck with that takedown attempt from Daemon. Vine tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Daemon swivels and escapes. John Daemon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mario Vine is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Vine shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Daemon manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
