The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beckenbauer looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Black has hold of one of Beckenbauer's legs. Beckenbauer is fighting the takedown attempt but Black gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Beckenbauer had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Black defends it easily.
Beckenbauer looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Black throws a big right hand that misses.
Black must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Black is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Beckenbauer has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Black doesn't defend quickly enough and Beckenbauer has managed to lock this one up! Can Black escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Beckenbauer on a fantastic submission victory.
