The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson shoots in looking for a takedown but NaLeans manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Thompson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
NaLeans has managed to clinch.
NaLeans using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Thompson has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
NaLeans drops down looking for an ankle pick but Thompson pulls his leg out and moves away.
NaLeans looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Thompson throws a hook to the side of NaLeans's head but NaLeans sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Thompson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
NaLeans takes a shot to the body in his stride.
NaLeans fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Thompson.
Thompson looks to score with a jab to the body but NaLeans is just out of range.
A head kick misses from Thompson.
Thompson attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Thompson takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Thompson with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling NaLeans to score with a decent uppercut.

Thompson throws a sloppy head kick and NaLeans moves out of range easily.
Thompson walks into a straight right hand from NaLeans.
Thompson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but NaLeans paws at him with a jab and circles away.

NaLeans misses with a takedown attempt - Thompson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

NaLeans dives in and scores a takedown into Thompson's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Thompson working for submissions but it's allowed NaLeans to get to half guard.
NaLeans throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

NaLeans has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Thompson defend it? NaLeans steps over the head and cranks it - Thompson is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for NaLeans!
