The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Five Sixteen feints and as Lovell raises his hands in defense, Five Sixteen changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Five Sixteen passes Lovell's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Lovell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Five Sixteen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Five Sixteen is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Lovell is staying active underneath Five Sixteen, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Lovell is trying to get back to full guard.
Lovell is refusing to be controlled, as Five Sixteen sits in half guard.

Lovell is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Five Sixteen has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Five Sixteen has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Lovell is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Five Sixteen yanks on the arm and Lovell is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Five Sixteen.
