Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Steve Rogers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Christian Courage! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Winston Howard and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Courage shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Courage circles away from the clinch attempt.

Rogers decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Courage wants to control but Rogers is keeping busy and won't allow it. Courage is staying active underneath Rogers, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Rogers is thwarting Courage's attempts to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rogers tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Courage.
Christian Courage has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Courage tries to clinch but Rogers moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Courage tries to clinch but Rogers is having none of it. Courage walks into a straight right hand from Rogers. Courage fails with the takedown. Rogers throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Courage's head.
It looks like Christian Courage has been cut. Rogers gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Courage counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rogers won't be happy with that. Rogers is breathing heavily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Courage remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Courage in side control lands a decent elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rogers wants to get back to his feet. Rogers is looking for a sweep. Courage decides to stand up, so the ref orders Rogers to his feet. Rogers wants to clinch. Rogers blocks a head kick by Courage.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Courage breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Courage closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rogers circles away. Steve Rogers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Christian Courage. Rogers throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rogers tries to close the distance and clinch up but Courage swats him away and circles back towards the center. Rogers throws a right hand that Courage ducks under and follows up with a left that Courage also avoids with ease. Courage is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Courage darts in trying to clinch and Rogers counters with a big head kick but Courage shrugs it off. Courage is looking to clinch but Rogers is avoiding it.
Rogers closes the distance and pushes Courage back into the cage. Courage is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Rogers is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rogers is trying to break the clinch but Courage has him pressed against the cage. Rogers wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Courage has him pressed against the cage. Rogers looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rogers tries to stall but Courage uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Courage lands a nice elbow.
It looks like Steve Rogers has been cut. Rogers is looking to break free of the clinch but Courage has double underhooks. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Steve Rogers will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Courage fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rogers avoids it really well and circles away. Courage dives in and grabs Rogers's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rogers pushes down on Courage's head and hops out. Courage fails with an attempt to clinch.
Courage tries to clinch but Rogers is having none of it. Rogers closes the distance and clinches. Courage has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Courage breaks from the clinch.
Rogers tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Courage paws at him with a jab and circles away. Courage dodges the punch combination from Rogers.
Horrible takedown by Rogers or perhaps it was just good defense by Courage which made him look bad. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Rogers keeps the fight on the outside. Courage shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rogers as he avoids it easily. Steve Rogers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Christian Courage. Courage throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rogers's waist but Rogers gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Courage off to one side. Rogers connects with an inside leg kick. Rogers throws a series of punches but Courage avoids them all with ease. Rogers misses with a combination
and Courage counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Courage. Courage wants to control from the top but Rogers keeps moving. Rogers is pulling down on Courage's head. It's preventing any offense from Courage, at least for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Rogers is trying to control the position but Courage postures up. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Courage passes Rogers's right leg, so he's now in half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Courage lands a nice short elbow. Rogers is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Courage's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Courage's back! Will Rogers go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Courage manages to reverse the position and now he's in Rogers's guard. Nice work there by Courage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Courage is pushing down on Rogers's leg trying to pass to half guard. Rogers is fighting to maintain full guard but Courage has managed to sneak the leg through. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Christian Courage showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's time! Rogers's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Courage has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Rogers shoots for a double leg takedown but Courage sprawls well. He's pushed Rogers's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A momentary lapse in concentration from Rogers enables Courage to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Rogers manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Courage decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Courage moves into the clinch successfully.

That's one minute gone in the round. Rogers keeps the fight on the outside. Rogers throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Courage looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Rogers! Courage lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Courage goes for an armbar but Rogers turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Rogers. Courage wants to stand but Rogers is controlling the position. Christian Courage has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rogers slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Rogers wants to get up but he can't break Courage's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Courage pulls Rogers in close to prevent any damage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rogers preventing the sweep.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Courage shoots in and gets a takedown into Rogers's guard. Courage trying to stand up but can't free himself from Rogers's guard. Rogers is controlling Courage's posture. Courage trying to control but Rogers is working from the bottom. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Courage prevents Rogers from getting back to his feet.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Christian Courage wasn't active enough on the ground. Courage tries to close the distance and clinch but Rogers swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Courage. Steve Rogers is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Courage takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Rogers shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Courage eats them both and turns towards Rogers to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Steve Rogers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rogers shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Courage sprawls well. Courage wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rogers gets slowly back to his feet. Courage manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Rogers on his heels. He'll look to pass Rogers's guard now, I'm sure. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Courage would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Christian Courage comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Courage has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
