Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Felipe Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hudson Oliveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Felipe Rua! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hudson Oliveira! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Thiago Cunha and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rua clinches with his opponent.
Rua wants to break the clinch but can't.
Oliveira tries for a takedown. No joy.

Felipe Rua has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hudson Oliveira. Rua wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Rua tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Oliveira avoids it. Oliveira is trying to force a seperation but Rua has the dominant position. Oliveira has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Rua has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Oliveira tries to circle away but Rua has him pinned against the cage. Oliveira looking for a takedown. Rua pressing his opponent against the cage. Rua has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Oliveira uses from the top position. Rua is adopting a defensive guard. Rua's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rua manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Rua takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Oliveira swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Rua jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Oliveira manages to avoid the submission attempt. Rua grinds an elbow into Oliveira's temple. Rua cracks Oliveira with a big right hand but Oliveira just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Rua is working to tighten is grip on Oliveira's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Oliveira has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Rua is really squeezing tight and eventually Oliveira passes out! Rua breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Felipe Rua!
