Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Salvador Newman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and tj Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Salvador Newman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, tj Miller! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller shoots in looking for a takedown. Newman tries to sprawl out of it but Miller keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Newman manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Newman motions for Miller to come forward. Newman throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Newman looking to score a takedown here. Miller is defending well but Newman drives through and ends up in Miller's guard. Newman looking to sit in guard and control but Miller gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Miller slips nicely into half guard. Newman wants to get back to his feet. Miller is trying to control the action in half guard but Newman is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Miller passes into side control, despite Newman's attempt to control the position.
Newman is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Miller asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller decides to stand back up. Miller steps back and let's Newman get back to his feet. Newman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Miller avoids it really well and circles away. Horrible takedown by Newman or perhaps it was just good defense by Miller which made him look bad. Newman fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Salvador Newman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Miller has closed the distance and engaged Newman in a clinch.
Miller has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Newman regains guard immediately.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miller looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Miller stands and steps away. Newman gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Miller shoots in and gets a takedown into Newman's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Miller tries to free his leg and advance position but Newman is retaining full guard. Miller decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Newman, up you get! Newman tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Miller counters with a takedown into side control. Newman is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Newman tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Miller presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Miller looking for a guillotine from mount but Newman is having none of it. Miller sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. A nice elbow there by Miller. Miller putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miller controlling the position easily from mount. Miller is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Newman can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Miller wants to finish this one by submission but Newman is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Miller. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Miller controlling from mount. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
tj Miller dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Miller tries to clinch but Newman moves out of range. Newman gets caught flat footed, as Miller shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Newman trying to strike off his back.
Miller is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Miller postures up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Miller lands with a good body shot. A combination from Miller does no damage. Miller manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Newman on his heels. He'll look to pass Newman's guard now, I'm sure. Newman wants to control but Miller passes easily into half guard.
Miller trying to control the action but Newman is working from the bottom. Miller keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. tj Miller has got the better of the ground game so far. Newman is trying to maintain the position but Miller is very close to passing his half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Newman looking for a kimura from the bottom but Miller passes into side control! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Miller is staying tight to Newman's torso, preventing him from escaping. Miller trying to control the position but Newman is working away. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Miller working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Newman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Miller on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Miller working the ground and pound from side control. Miller decides to stand back up. Miller clinches up with Newman and pushes him back against the cage. Miller drops down looking for an ankle pick but Newman pulls his leg out and moves away.
Salvador Newman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Newman throws a head kick but Miller moves out of range.
Newman lands with a nice combination. Miller backs away looking to recover. Newman scores with a head kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miller shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Miller works over Newman with some ground and pound from guard. Miller is stalling in the full guard. Miller pushing down on Newman's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Miller performing his best blanket impression for a moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
tj Miller showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Newman closes this distance looking for a takedown but Miller circles away. Miller takes a swing at Newman's ribcage but misses. Miller gets caught napping as Newman dives in and scores a takedown. Miller manages to retain guard. Miller has his feet on Newman's thighs here. He's pushed Newman off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Newman screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
