Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shatei Yoshida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian McGuire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brian McGuire told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yoshida swings for the body but McGuire moves out of range.
Yoshida shoots in looking for a takedown. McGuire tries to sprawl out of it but Yoshida keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McGuire manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Shatei Yoshida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McGuire shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Yoshida manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Yoshida wants to sweep but no luck.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

McGuire throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Yoshida tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. McGuire is in Yoshida's guard.
