Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ian McShame (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Ian McShame!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rob Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Colin Fotheringham and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Gracie jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… McShame is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by McShame and Gracie has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Gracie looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McShame sneaks back into half guard.
McShame might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
McShame is controlling Gracie's trapped leg to prevent Gracie from advancing to side control.
Gracie tries to pass to full mount but McShame defends it.
Gracie trying to control from half guard but McShame is working away.
Gracie looks gassed!
Gracie throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
McShame misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Gracie looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
McShame has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gracie is working away from the top position though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gracie thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McShame's head.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McShame as he jumps to the side.
McShame moves in looking to clinch but Gracie pushes him off.
McShame goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
McShame misses with a takedown attempt

and Gracie counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Gracie preventing the sweep.
McShame trying to keep a closed guard but Gracie is proving a slippery customer.
Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McShame swivels though and keeps the full guard.

McShame is looking for a triangle but Gracie pushes his legs off easily.
Gracie passes easily into side control. Nice work.
McShame is looking for a sweep.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Gracie in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... McShame is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Rob Gracie!
