Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vault Strenn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Helks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pedro Helks is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Vault Strenn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pedro Helks! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Steve Erwin and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Strenn closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Strenn wants to stand up but Helks manages to regain full guard. Strenn stopping the sweep attempt from Helks. Strenn knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Helks on the ground. Strenn has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Helks is proving hard to escape from. Helks has his hands on Strenn's head, controlling the position. Helks is trying to control the position but Strenn postures up. Helks manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Helks misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Strenn is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Strenn avoids a series of strikes thrown by Helks.
Helks wants to control the pace but Strenn is squirming around nicely. Helks controlling from mount. Helks is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Helks manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Strenn on his heels. He'll look to pass Strenn's guard now, I'm sure. Helks postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Strenn wants to stand and escape but Helks is having none of it. Helks controls from within his opponent's guard. Helks stops Strenn from standing up. Strenn can't keep his opponent in guard - Helks advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Helks is trying for a kimura here. Strenn looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Helks wins by kimura!
