PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Foreman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bear Fuller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fuller has chosen Oh Death as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, George Foreman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bear Fuller!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Columbo Gatti and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foreman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Fuller as he avoids it easily.
Foreman misses with a wild combination.

Foreman closes the distance and clinches.

Fuller tightens his grip and picks Foreman up, before dumping him to the ground. Foreman manages to land in guard.
Fuller slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Foreman is trying to hold Fuller in close to prevent damage but Fuller has managed to pass into half guard.
Fuller is thwarting Foreman's attempts to control the position.

Fuller postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Foreman to stand up.

Foreman rushes Fuller and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Fuller is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Foreman gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Foreman breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Foreman could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Foreman has closed the distance and engaged Fuller in a clinch.
Fuller tries to pull guard but Foreman holds him up against the cage and eventually Fuller drops back down to his feet.
Fuller wants to break the clinch but can't.

Fuller wants to get back to striking at distance but Foreman won't allow it.

Foreman breaks the clinch.
Fuller fails with the takedown.
George Foreman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bear Fuller.
Foreman lands the left hand.
Foreman avoids the head kick by Fuller.
Foreman throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Fuller stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Fuller takes a swing at Foreman's ribcage but misses.

Fuller fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Foreman sprawls well initially but Fuller persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Fuller wanted to stand there but Foreman had control of the position.
Fuller looks gassed!

Foreman scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Fuller walks into a straight right hand from Foreman.
Foreman misses with a double jab.

Fuller dodges the punch combination from Foreman.
Fuller tries to clinch but Foreman moves out of range.
Foreman sizes up Fuller with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Foreman scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Foreman lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Fuller sprawling to the canvas. Foreman follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Fuller hang on?


Fuller is rocked!
Foreman passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Fuller!
Fuller is still in real trouble! Can Foreman finish him?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee warns Fuller that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Fuller is wriggling around trying to escape.
Fuller seems to have recovered his senses.
Foreman trying to control but Fuller is having none of it.
Foreman avoids the attempt from Fuller to control.
Foreman won't let Fuller get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Foreman throwing strikes here but Fuller is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Foreman takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Fuller is looking to get to half guard.

Fuller bucks Foreman off and manages to get back to his feet!

and Fuller counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Fuller.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fuller is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Fuller lands a couple of elbows.

Fuller gets to his feet. Foreman looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Fuller wants to stand up but Foreman has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Fuller wants to pass to mount but Foreman is defending the position.
Fuller wants to lay and pray for a moment but Foreman keeps working.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Foreman has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fuller is working away from the top position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Bear Fuller will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Foreman wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Foreman has his takedown stuffed

and Fuller counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Foreman's guard now.

Foreman pushes Fuller off and gets back to his feet.
Foreman's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Foreman duly obliges.

Fuller changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Foreman looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Bear Fuller has got the better of the ground game so far.
Foreman isn't going anywhere.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Foreman is trying to control Fuller's posture but Fuller avoids it.

Foreman parries the strikes from Fuller easily there. Fuller is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Foreman to escape.
Foreman tries to bench press Fuller off him but Fuller keeps the position.
Foreman is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Fuller off and has taken his back!
Foreman tries to keep control of the position but Fuller is staying busy.
Foreman is trying to stick to Fuller's back but Fuller is turning into Foreman. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Foreman's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Fuller.
Fuller is working Foreman over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Fuller throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Fuller counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Foreman!
Fuller lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Fuller postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Foreman looks a forlorn figure.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Bear Fuller showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Foreman is looking to control Fuller's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Foreman avoid being mounted?
Fuller moves into full mount! Foreman won't be happy about that!
Fuller lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Foreman hang on?

Fuller stands up from mount. Strange move.
Foreman blocks a head kick by Fuller.

Fuller feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bear Fuller comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Fuller winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
