Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Owen Schmitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schmitt comes to the cage accompanied by In God We Trust - Stryper. Silva has chosen Thunderstruck by AC/DC as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice inside leg kick there by Silva. That's going to slow Schmitt down.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Schmitt on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Schmitt tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
The fighters circling - Schmitt throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Schmitt swats away the attempt to clinch by Silva.
Silva ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Silva connects with a leg kick. Schmitt looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Andy Silva is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Schmitt crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Silva - the referee stops the clock and Schmitt gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Silva. Schmitt manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Silva pivots, looking for a leg kick but Schmitt is out of range and Silva settles back down.

A relieved looking Andy Silva thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
