The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rucinski takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Rucinski looks to land a right hand but Rogan moved out of range.
Rogan connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Rucinski ducks under a wild hook from Rogan.
Rucinski needs to keep his hands up - Rogan had a free shot at his head there.
A solid leg kick lands there for Rogan.
Rucinski misses with a leg kick.
Rogan scores with a leg kick.
Rogan rushes Rucinski and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rogan connects with a nasty looking knee right to Rucinski's face.
It looks like Karol Rucinski has been cut.
Rucinski is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Rogan scores with a hook to the body.
Rogan lands a nice uppercut.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Rogan creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Rogan goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Rogan throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Rucinskis head.
Rucinski is rocked!
Rogan lands with a right to the head.
Oh Rucinski is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rogan lands a big right hand that drops Rucinski! The killer instinct kicks in and Rogan finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Rogan!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joe Rogan! Joe Rogan retains his welterweight title!
A relieved looking Joe Rogan thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
