And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Col. John T. Hall!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hall.
Michieletto keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Michieletto displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hall throws out the jab.
Hall fails to land the takedown.

Hall shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Michieletto in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Michieletto is trying desperately to improve position.
Hall misses with a head shot.
Michieletto wants to control but Hall is having none of it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hall is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Michieletto can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Hall fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Michieletto regains half guard.
Hall lands with a punch from half guard.

Michieletto is trying to get back to full guard.
Michieletto is staying active underneath Hall, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Michieletto is doing well to control the position and prevent Hall from advancing to side control.
Hall is looking to pass Michieletto's guard but actually Michieletto recovers to full guard.
Michieletto tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Michieletto keeping full guard, as Hall tries to pass.
Michieletto wants to sweep but no luck.

Hall with a flurry of punches that miss.
Michieletto working a defensive guard here.
Hall wants to pass the guard but Michieletto is keeping the position.
Hall wants to control from the top but Michieletto keeps moving.
Michieletto lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Hall!
Hall keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Michieletto controlling from mount.
Hall is trying to escape the mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Michieletto trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Michieletto looking to ground and pound but Hall is blocking nicely.
Hall is desperately trying to improve his position but Michieletto has a good base and remains in mount.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Col. John T. Hall dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Hall tries to land a body kick
and Michieletto counters with a left to the body.
Michieletto displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hall.
Michieletto scores with a jab. Hall acknowledges it with a nod of the head.


It looks like Col. John T. Hall has been cut.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Michieletto, as that shot connected.
Michieletto throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Michieletto blocks the body kick.
Hall on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Michieletto tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Michieletto gets a clinch.
Hall struggles to land a body shot inside as Michieletto controls his hands.
Michieletto tries to throw a body punch but Hall avoids it by throwing Michieletto back against the ropes.
Hall misses with a knee strike.
Hall tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Hall tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Michieletto smiles and moves away.
Hall swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hall throws a sloppy body shot
and Michieletto makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Michieletto thumps Hall with a low kick.
Hall is breathing heavily.
Hall ducks right into an uppercut from Michieletto.

Michieletto cracks Hall with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Hall looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Michieletto finish him?
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Michieletto tries to close the distance and clinch but Hall swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hall will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Michieletto lands a nice looking body shot.
Michieletto scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Michieletto jabs at Hall's body.
Davide Michieletto is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Michieletto feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Halls jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Michieletto cracks Hall with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Michieletto has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Hall to stand back up!


Hall is rocked!


That has opened up Col. John T. Hall's cut even more.

Michieletto has Hall up against the ropes in a clinch.
Hall is still on wobbly legs! Can Michieletto finish him?
Michieletto scores with a shoulder strike.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hall swings wildly with an uppercut but Michieletto uses good head movement to avoid it.
Hall seems to have recovered his senses.
Michieletto comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Michieletto works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Michieletto lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Hall backwards.


The cut above Col. John T. Hall's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Michieletto softening up his opponent with strikes, against the ropes.
Michieletto pushes Hall against the ropes. Michieletto is working some dirty boxing. Michieletto pushes off with a quick right hook! Hall goes down! Hall tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Michieletto moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Davide Michieletto!
