Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Muhammad Shazlee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jamie Harrison! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harrison throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Shazlee tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Harrison is in Shazlee's guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Shazlee is pulling down on Harrison's head to control his posture. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Harrison looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Shazlee working a defensive guard here.
Harrison has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Shazlee is proving hard to escape from. Shazlee has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Harrison can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Harrison wants to stand but Shazlee is controlling his posture from full guard. Shazlee is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Harrison defends well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shazlee has his hands on Harrison's head, controlling the position. Harrison has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Shazlee is proving hard to escape from. Shazlee uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Harrison tries to close the distance and clinch but Shazlee swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. No luck with that takedown attempt from Harrison. Harrison is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Shazlee swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shazlee throws a right and a left that Harrison avoids nicely. Shazlee throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Harrison lands a nice leg kick that just misses Shazlee's sensitive parts. Harrison shoots in and drives through. Shazlee sprawls well. Shazlee misses with a few strikes there.
Harrison tries to clinch up but Shazlee circles away and keeps his distance. Muhammad Shazlee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shazlee misses with a two punch combination.
Shazlee is breathing heavily. Shazlee throws a series of punches but Harrison avoids them all with ease. A punch combination from Shazlee misses. Shazlee keeps the fight on the outside. Shazlee throws a combination that misses and Harrison counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Harrison trying to control the position from guard on top but Shazlee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Harrison tries to free his leg and advance position but Shazlee is retaining full guard. Shazlee keeping moving, preventing Harrison from controlling successfully.

Harrison has Shazlee pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Harrison pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Shazlee tumbling to the mat - Harrison dives into Shazlee's guard. Shazlee wants to stand and escape but Harrison is having none of it. Harrison engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Shazlee might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Shazlee is trying to control the position from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Harrison misses with a takedown attempt - Shazlee sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Harrison digs a good hook to Shazlee's body.
Shazlee fails in his attempt to clinch. Shazlee tries for a takedown but Harrison sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. A punch combination from Shazlee misses. Shazlee gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Harrison to score an easy takedown into full guard. Shazlee throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Shazlee working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Harrison doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Harrison manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harrison gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Harrison scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Shazlee tries to improve position but can't. Harrison tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Shazlee is looking to regain half guard here but Harrison keeps moving and retains side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shazlee is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Harrison's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Harrison tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Shazlee. Harrison thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Shazlee's head. Harrison wants to pass the guard but Shazlee is defending well. Shazlee moves into full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Harrison looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Harrison really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shazlee. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Shazlee pushes Harrison off and scrambles back to his feet.

Harrison fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Shazlee sprawls well initially but Harrison persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Harrison slows the pace down in half guard. Shazlee is trying to stand back up but Harrison is controlling him
Shazlee controlling the position well. Shazlee wants to get back to full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Harrison is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Harrison wants to take a breather but Shazlee is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Jamie Harrison will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Harrison controlling from the top position. Harrison decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Harrison gets a double leg takedown into Shazlee's guard. Harrison trying to control but Shazlee is working from the bottom. Jamie Harrison has got the better of the ground game so far. Shazlee controls Harrison momentarily but Harrison frees himself. Shazlee is looking to sinch up a triangle. Harrison throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Shazlee's body to avoid the submission. Shazlee has instead reached around Harrison's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Shazlee arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
