Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Denton Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Drago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by Who let the dogs out?. Pete Drago is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Denton Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pete Drago!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Drago.
Drago will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jackson clobbers Drago with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Drago throws a right hand that Jackson ducks under and follows up with a left that Jackson also avoids with ease.
Jackson lands with a straight right. Drago didn't see that one coming.

Drago throws a series of punches but Jackson moves out of range.
Drago throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Drago throws a sloppy body shot

and Jackson counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Drago is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Jackson scores with a couple of nice shots.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Jackson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Drago doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jackson.

Jackson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Drago is just riding it out for now. Jackson eventually gives up the hold.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Drago is trying to stand back up but Jackson is controlling him
Drago keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Jackson moves into full mount! Drago won't be happy about that!
Jackson misses with a head shot.

Jackson sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Drago takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Jackson goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Drago turns into him and now he's in Jackson's guard.
Drago won't allow Jackson to sweep him here.

Jackson pulls Drago in close to prevent any damage.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Denton Jackson wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Drago falls off balance throwing a combination

and Jackson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Jackson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Drago's head.
Jackson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jackson is looking to advance position but Drago won't allow it.
Jackson content to control rather than advance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Jackson seems to be working for a kimura but Drago defends the submission attempt.
Drago wants to get back to his feet.
Jackson moves into full mount! Drago won't be happy about that!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Denton Jackson dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Drago throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Jackson counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Drago takes one to the side of the head.

Jackson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Drago did well to prevent Jackson getting side control.
Jackson lands strikes from half guard.
Jackson throwing shots but Drago is blocking nicely.
Jackson is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Drago wants to get back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jackson is pressing down on Drago's thigh, looking to free his foot. Drago is holding on for now.
Jackson misses with a head shot. Drago uses the momentum to regain guard.
Jackson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Drago is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jackson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Drago has momentary wrist control but Jackson slips an elbow through the middle.
Jackson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Drago works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Jackson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Drago swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Drago working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jackson.
Jackson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Jackson stands and steps away. Drago gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Drago doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Jackson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Jackson lands a decent elbow from side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The referee asks Jackson politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Jackson prefers to stall for the moment though.

Drago takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Jackson lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Jackson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jackson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Jackson lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Drago down.


Drago is rocked!
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Jackson cracks Drago with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Jackson immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Drago is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Jackson!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Denton Jackson!
Denton Jackson decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
