Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jonny Dime (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Marks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jonny Dime!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carl Marks!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marks looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dime is fending him off so far but Marks persists. Nope, Dime circles away and we're back to standing.
Marks is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dime sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Dime stuffs the takedown attempt from Marks. Marks gets slowly back to his feet.
Jonny Dime has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carl Marks.

Dime bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Dime grinds an elbow into Marks's temple.
Dime knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Marks on the ground.
Dime works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Dime is trying to get an arm triangle but Marks is defending well.
Dime lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Marks down.
Marks gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Marks looking for submissions off his back.
Dime performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Dime not landing any meaningful shots this time.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dime working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Marks looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Marks is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Dime slips a nice elbow through Marks's hands, connecting with Marks's forehead.

Dime gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Dime throws a series of punches but Marks moves out of range.
Marks gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Dime counters with a single leg into guard. Marks didn't expect that.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dime trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Dime wants to stand but Marks is controlling his posture from full guard.
Dime tries to free his leg and advance position but Marks is retaining full guard.

Dime stands and steps away. Marks gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Marks has his takedown stuffed

and Dime decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Marks's guard.
Marks looks gassed!

Marks has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dime can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Marks is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Dime rolls with it to try and escape but Marks cranks on the arm and Dime is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
