Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Denny Rafael (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vir Seabrook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Donatello Bradman and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Seabrook gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Seabrook has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Rafael is trying to keep an underhook but Seabrook manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Rafael gets back to full guard.
Rafael looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Seabrook wants to control from the top but Rafael keeps moving.

Rafael has his foot on Seabrook's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Seabrook works his way back into a safe position though.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Rafael kicks Seabrook off and gets to his feet.

Rafael manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Seabrook on his heels. He'll look to pass Seabrook's guard now, I'm sure.

Seabrook is trying to control the position but Rafael postures up.
Seabrook looking for a sweep. Not yet Seabrook, not yet.
Rafael stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Seabrook swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Rafael drops back looking for a leg! Seabrook is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Seabrook manages to kick Rafael off! Rafael jumps back into Seabrook's guard.

Seabrook is looking for a triangle but Rafael pushes his legs off easily.

Rafael drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Seabrook dives on top into guard.

Rafael escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Seabrook gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Rafael throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Seabrook escapes and throws Rafael's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Rafael tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Seabrook wants to control but Rafael is keeping him busy.

Seabrook tries to advance to mount but Rafael denies him.
Seabrook trying to control the position but Rafael is working away.
Rafael gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Rafael looks like he's trying to stand up.
Seabrook is trying to control the action in half guard but Rafael is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Rafael won't allow Seabrook to pass to mount.

Rafael throws his legs up looking for a submission but Seabrook uses it to pass to side control.
Rafael is breathing heavily.
Rafael tries to bench press Seabrook off him but Seabrook keeps the position.
Seabrook is trying to ground and pound but Rafael uses the momentary lack of control by Seabrook to regain half guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Seabrook rushes Rafael and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Seabrook drags the fight down to the ground.
Rafael slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Denny Rafael overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Seabrook tries to buck Rafael off but Rafael is having none of it.
Seabrook can't do much from the bottom here.

Rafael tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Rafael thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Rafael is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Seabrook looks calm but he's in trouble here. Rafael gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Seabrook is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Rafael lets go of the hold and Seabrook can pop his arm back in it's socket.
