The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tate fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
D blocks a jab.
Tate tries to score a power double leg takedown but D sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tate somewhat.
Tate moves out of range as D strikes.
Tate dives in and grabs D's left leg, looking for a takedown. D pushes down on Tate's head and hops out.
D keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Man D has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Patrick Tate.

D lands a big head kick that sends Tate tumbling to the mat! D takes a step backwards and waves Tate back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Tate is rocked!

It looks like Patrick Tate has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
D thuds a left hand into Tate's body.

Patrick Tate seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tate looks gassed!
Tate stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from D.
D shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Tate takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - D sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Tate bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
