The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marshall throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cruz's waist but Cruz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Marshall off to one side.
Cruz drops Marshall with a beautiful combination! Marshall stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Cruz is looking for the KO!
Marshall is rocked!
It looks like Rick Marshall has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A head kick misses from Cruz.
Marshall is still on wobbly legs! Can Cruz finish him?
Cruz shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Marshall takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Cruz sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Marshall bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
