Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rashad Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Kalir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rashad Evans! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, George Kalir! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, John Roberts and Joseph Jones.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Evans, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kalir tries for a takedown but Evans circles away easily and Evans counters with a right hand to the body. Kalir chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Evans can pounce on him.
Kalir gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Evans clinches. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Evans. Evans gets a warning from the ref for wasting time.
Evans breaks from the clinch.
Horrible takedown by Kalir or perhaps it was just good defense by Evans which made him look bad. Evans tries to clinch but Kalir is having none of it. Kalir fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Rashad Evans has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Kalir. Kalir shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Evans as he avoids it easily.
Evans clinches up with Kalir and pushes him back against the cage.

Kalir takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Kalir looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Evans is fending him off so far but Kalir persists. Nope, Evans circles away and we're back to standing. Evans lands a nice hook to Kalir's body. Kalir takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Kalir looks gassed! Evans lands with a right hand. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kalir misses with a takedown attempt
and Evans counters with a single leg into guard. Kalir didn't expect that. Evans is looking to stand up but Kalir won't let him. Evans trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Evans decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kalir, up you get! Kalir doesn't succeed with the takedown and Evans counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Kalir avoids a punch combination nicely.
Rashad Evans seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kalir doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Evans darts in and clinches Kalir up against the cage. Kalir fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Evans's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kalir misses with a takedown attempt - Evans sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Evans shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kalir's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Evans is looking to stand up but Kalir won't let him. Evans will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Evans tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Kalir manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Evans gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kalir to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Kalir drops back looking for a leg! Evans is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Evans manages to kick Kalir off! Kalir jumps back into Evans's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kalir prevents Evans from getting back to his feet. Evans looking for a sweep. Not yet Evans, not yet. Kalir tries to free his leg and advance position but Evans is retaining full guard. Evans is looking to stand up but Kalir isn't so interested in that idea. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kalir drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kalir jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Evans wants to get back to his feet but Kalir is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Kalir tries to free his leg and advance position but Evans is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kalir shoots in and drives through. Evans sprawls well. Evans lands an overhand right. Kalir shoots for a takedown but Evans saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Evans kicks Kalir off and gets to his feet. Evans is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kalir can do to turn this around? Evans throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kalir has a takedown stuffed. Evans with a hook. Kalir takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Evans forces Kalir back against the cage and clinches. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Evans as Kalir tries to tie him up. Evans lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Evans holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Kalir is trying to break the clinch but Evans is controlling him. Kalir letting Evans take a breather here. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Rashad Evans. Evans with a body punch. A glancing blow.

The fight moves into the clinch position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Evans leaning his opponent against the cage. The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Evans for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure. Evans is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Rashad Evans dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Evans enables Kalir to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Evans manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Kalir looking to pass the guard.

It partially lands. Kalir takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. This has been an exciting period of action! Kalir takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Kalir. Evans is pushing Kalir's head away, looking to escape. Kalir manages to hold on to the position though. Kalir passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Evans!
Kalir has hold of Evans's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Evans manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kalir thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
And that's the end of the fight! Rashad Evans showed his dominance in that final round. Well Evans has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
