Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Franklin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luciano Torrentini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Franklin comes to the cage accompanied by Bring Da Ruckus. Torrentini has chosen Rage Against The Machine - Killing In The Name as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franklin tries to land a front kick but Torrentini steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Torrentini misses with a jab, cross combination.
Franklin misses with a series of wild punches.
John Franklin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Franklin lands a head kick. Torrentini smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
It looks like Luciano Torrentini has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Torrentini throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Franklin steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Torrentini.
Franklin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Franklin goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Torrentini bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Franklin's head backwards.
It looks like John Franklin has been cut.
Franklin takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Torrentini shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Torrentini looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Franklin with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Torrentini is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Torrentini is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Franklin sees it coming and defends easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Torrentini in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Franklin tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Torrentini!
