Svardet kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is "Relax" by Frankie Goes To Hollywood. Roger Pontare has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pontare is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Pontare steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Svardet.
Svardet swats away the attempt to clinch by Pontare.
Svardet leaves Pontare with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Svardet uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Pontare has time to react.
Roger Pontare seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pontare tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Svardet paws at him with a jab and circles away.
