The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Bruno Lombardi and Eddie Farnsworth.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cosades stuffs the takedown attempt from Cruz. Cruz gets slowly back to his feet.
Cruz closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cosades circles away.
Cruz closes the distance but Cosades moves to the side
and Cosades counters with a low kick, right behind Cruz 's knee.
Joel Cruz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cosades stuffs the takedown attempt from Cruz. Cruz gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joel Cruz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cruz shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Cosades as he avoids it easily.
Cosades walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Cruz checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Cruz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cosades tries to avoid it but Cruz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cosades to the ground. Cosades escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Cruz tries to clinch but Cosades is having none of it.
Cosades misses with a body kick.
Cosades throws a sloppy head kick and Cruz moves out of range easily.
Cosades throws a push kick but Cruz slaps the foot to one side.
Cruz tries for a takedown but Cosades sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Cosades blocks a head kick by Cruz.

Cosades fakes the leg kick and cracks Cruz in the body.
Cruz is breathing heavily.
Cruz is trying hard to land a takedown here. Cosades sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
A chopping leg kick lands by Cosades.
Cosades lands with a kick to the ribs.
A head kick misses from Cosades.
Cosades throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Cosades lands a leg kick that knocks Cruz off balance momentarily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cruz takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Cosades misses with a body kick.
Cosades throws a shot from downtown. Cruz moves away and avoids it.
Cruz shoots in for a takedown but Cosades shows good takedown defense.
Cruz chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Cosades can pounce on him.
Cruz takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Cosades.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Cruz. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Cosades lands a big head kick that sends Cruz tumbling to the mat! Cosades takes a step backwards and waves Cruz back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Cruz is rocked!
Nice body kick there by Cosades.
Oh Cruz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Cosades drops Cruz with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Cruz looks back up at him and smiles so Cosades waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Cosades throws a hook to the side of Cruz's head but Cruz sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Cruz on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Cosades. Cosades obviously looking to wear him down.
Cruz avoids the head kick by Cosades.
Cruz seems to have got his legs back now.

Cosades looks for the body kick but Cruz saw that one coming.
Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from Cosades! This one is all over!
