Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Takehiko Takaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Humberto Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takaki comes to the cage accompanied by Mahavishnu Orchestra - Meeting Of The Spirits. Cruz has chosen Touch Me as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takaki chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Takaki throws a leg kick but Cruz moved away.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Cruz.
Takaki tries to clinch up but Cruz circles away and keeps his distance.
Takaki uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Cruz tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Takaki on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Cruz slips under a jab from Takaki.
Takaki gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Takaki lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cruz connects with a leg kick. Takaki looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Takaki misses the jab.
Takaki throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Cruz counters with a left to the body.
Cruz throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Cruz wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Takaki throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Cruz counters with a thumping low kick.
Takaki is breathing heavily.
Cruz feints and then cracks Takaki's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Takaki down.
Takaki throws a sloppy head kick
and Cruz counters with a lovely straight right hand!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cruz tries to land a front kick but Takaki steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Takaki will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cruz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Takaki manages to avoid it.
Takaki throws a body punch but Cruz moves out of range.
Cruz misses the shot to the body.
Takaki misses the shot to the body.
Takaki scores with a kick to the midsection.
Takaki takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Takaki is rocked!
Cruz scoring well with a low kick there.
Oh Takaki is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Takaki lets loose with a powerful body kick. Cruz will feel that in the morning.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cruz blocks a leg kick.
Cruz throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Takaki stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Cruz weaves into range and cracks Takaki right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Takaki goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Cruz is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Humberto Cruz!
After winning the bout, Humberto Cruz thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
