Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Doet! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Borys Grabowski! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Daniel Cesar and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Doet keeps Grabowski at a distance using the push kick. Grabowski lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Doet throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Grabowski has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Doet. Doet ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Grabowski throws a combination that misses and Doet makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Doet thows a body kick. Grabowski tries to catch it but that hurt him. Doet keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Grabowski lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Doet has a takedown stuffed. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doet bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Doet scores with a jab. Grabowski acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Doet uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Grabowski. Grabowski slips under a jab from Doet. Grabowski gets caught flat footed, as Doet shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Grabowski wants to stand up but Doet is controlling him. Doet pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Grabowski is keeping the position for now.

Doet is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Doet is looking to take a break and control but Grabowski is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

John Doet dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A head kick misses from Doet. Grabowski takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Doet misses with a looping left. Grabowski misses with an uppercut. Doet saw that one coming. Grabowski tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Doet lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Doet lands a leg kick that knocks Grabowski off balance momentarily. Grabowski tries to land a body kick and Doet counters with a straight right hand. Doet lands with a kick to the ribs.

Grabowski throws the kick towards the body but Doet avoids it. Grabowski lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Doet connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. The crowd cheers as Grabowski lands an impressive looking overhand right. Doet doesn't seem phased though. Grabowski thows a left - swing and a miss!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A slow jab from Grabowski misses its intended target. John Doet is winning the standup battle so far. Doet thuds a left hand into Grabowski's body. Grabowski misses the shot to the body. Doet scores with a punch to the head. Grabowski leaves Doet with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Doet staying out of range there. Doet shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Grabowski napping and manages to drive through into side control!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doet takes a little break here. Grabowski wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Grabowski is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Doet has just dragged him back down to the mat. Sloppy strikes there by Doet. Doet is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Grabowski is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. You can see the frustration on Grabowski's face as Doet controls the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Doet tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Doet working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Doet has hold of Grabowski's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Grabowski seems comfortable defending it but Doet has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Grabowski is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Grabowski is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Doet couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). John Doet!
