Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ansatsuken Ryu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Metallica - The Unforgiven II . Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ansatsuken Ryu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Lucas Silva !
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryu avoids a punch combination nicely.
Silva thows a left - swing and a miss!
Silva blocks a jab.
Silva scores with a sloppy right hand. Ryu should have avoided that one.

Silva falls off balance throwing a combination
and Ryu counters with a stiff right hand.
Ryu throws out a leg kick but Silva moves out of range and Ryu only half commits.
Silva slips a straight right by Ryu.
Silva tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ryu was well out of range. Poor timing from Silva .
Silva tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ryu manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Silva jabs Ryu to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Ryu throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Silva misses with a double jab.
Ryu feints and then cracks Silva 's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Silva down.
Silva throws a looping overhand right but Ryu ducks down to avoid it.
Ryu throws a leg kick that is checked
and Silva counters with a low kick, right behind Ryu 's knee.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ryu misses with a wild body shot.
Silva chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Ryu can pounce on him.
Silva walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Ryu checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Ryu wants to land a leg kick but Silva is out of range.
Silva throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Silva walks into a left hand.
Silva throws the kick towards the body but Ryu avoids it.
Ryu displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Silva throws out the jab.
Silva checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Silva throws an overhand right that lands on Ryu's shoulder, as Ryu tries to avoid the shot.
Silva tries for a takedown but Ryu sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
A chopping leg kick lands by Ryu.
Silva shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ryu napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Ryu is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ryu can't do much from the bottom here.

Ryu tries to bench press Silva off him but Silva keeps the position.
Silva remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Silva tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Ryu is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Ryu takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Ryu is looking for a sweep.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Silva tries to score with some ground and pound. Ryu controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ryu tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Silva wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Ryu manages to get back to half guard.
Ryu is looking to control Silva 's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ryu avoid being mounted?

Ryu slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Ryu bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Silva 's guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Ansatsuken Ryu will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Silva throws a looping overhand right but Ryu ducks down to avoid it.

Ansatsuken Ryu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ryu.

and Ryu counters with a flying knee. Nice.

A bone on bone clash there as Silva blocks the leg kick.

Ryu pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Silva looks to land a left hand but Ryu moved out of range nicely.

Silva closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Silva lands in his opponent's guard.
Ryu wants to sweep but no luck.

Ryu is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Silva 's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Silva 's back!

Ansatsuken Ryu overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Silva slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Lucas Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Ryu's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Silva ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ryu moves away.

Ryu throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Ryu drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Silva manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ryu has Silva in his guard.
